HEALING THROUGH TRAUMA-INFORMED CARE

At Blanket Fort Hope, our Restoration Process is rooted in trauma-informed care, recognizing the deep emotional, psychological, and physical impact of trauma.

Our trained counselors and licensed foster families work together to help child trafficking survivors build healthy coping skills, strengthen resilience, and move toward lasting healing and hope. Every environment is intentionally designed to feel safe and calming, with gentle colors and structured routines that support rest and recovery.

With patience, care, and a variety of therapies, we help survivors step out of fear-driven living and into a life of stability, growth, and freedom.

Garden Therapy

Gardening provides a peaceful space for healing, helping survivors rebuild confidence and self-esteem. In group settings, it also fosters connection and community, supporting the rebuilding of trust.

Animal-Assisted Therapy

Interacting with animals reduces anxiety and stress while creating a sense of calm. Caring for them builds confidence and helps survivors manage emotions, engage in therapy, and feel safer as they heal.

Equine Therapy

Caring for horses builds confidence and self-esteem through leadership and responsibility. Their non-verbal nature allows emotional expression without words, while physical activity supports body awareness and overall healing.

Sewing Therapy

Sewing therapy provides a calming, creative outlet that helps survivors reduce stress and anxiety. It encourages focus and mindfulness while rebuilding confidence through completing meaningful projects. It also offers a safe way to express emotions without having to talk about trauma.
